Configuration Procedure For PSE10U-002003 (Satellite E105)

The following procedure MUST be completed EVERY TIME the SYSTEM PCB is replaced.

These configuration instructions are unique to the Toshiba Satellite E105 having Model-Part Number, "PSE10U-002003". You must verify that the Model Part Number for the unit you're configuring is "PSE10U-002003".


Configuration Instruction

  1. Boot from the latest version of the T&D disk. When prompted press the ENTER key.
  2. At the T&D Main menu, press the key to choose the "DMI Write" option.
  3. Select or position the cursor at the "Manufacturer" field. Type Toshiba and press the ENTER key.
    • The cursor will then move to the following entry field.

  4. With the cursor at the "Product Name" field. Type Satellite E105 and press the ENTER key.
    • The cursor will then move to the following entry field.

  5. With the cursor at the "Version Number" field. Type PSE10U-002003 and press the ENTER key.
    • The cursor will then move to the following entry field.

  6. With the cursor at the "Serial Number" field. Type the serial number from the unit label and press the ENTER key.
    • The cursor will then move to the following entry field.

  7. With the cursor at the "UUID" field, press ENTER to skip this field. Typically the UUID will not need to be entered, as it is not cleared when the systemboards are repaired. The cursor will then move to the following entry field.
  8. With the cursor at the "OEM Part Number" field, type PSE10U-002003 and press the ENTER key.
    • The cursor will then move to the following entry field.

  9. With the cursor at the "OEM SW Number" field. Type A83Q004813,13Q40 and press the ENTER key.
  10. Review the entries and if all the DMI information appears correct, press the F2 key confirming the changes. If the information is not correct, press the F4 key and make the necessary corrections.
    • Once the corrections have been made press the F2 key confirming the changes.

  11. Exit the "DMI Write Option" by pressing the Escape.
  12. At the T&D Main menu, press the key for the "Read DMI" option and verify the information entered.
  13. Eject the T&D and either shutdown or reboot the system to the normal OS.
